Kotlin is a powerful programming language used to develop Android mobile applications. I’ve been having a go at making my own.

The setup

You’ll first want to download Android Studio. Once you’ve done that, there are some excellent tutorials to get you started.

I started off with this tutorial here: Link. I’d recommend using your own phone to test the application as you go. To do that, you’ll need to enable Developer Options.

Codecademy is another fantastic resource, not just for Kotlin, but for just about any other programming language you can think of. It’s how I got started with Python.
